Fall maternity photoshoot at Filoli

It is well known that Spring is the season to go to Filoli House and Gardens. At that time you’ll see tulips and irises all over the place, fruit trees in bloom, and the entire front of the mansion adorned in purple wisteria. Spring is undoubtedly great. But have you been to Filoli in Fall? Fall at Filoli has its own special magic.

I got the chance to visit Filoli this fall with the sweetest couple: Deepti and Raghu. They are first time parents to be, but I can tell from the way they took care of each other that they’ll be the most wonderful parents. We spend the afternoon wandering around the sprawling gardens talking about pregnancy and parenting. Deepti was stunning in black and pink, and Raghu looked so handsome! I LOVED photographing them so much.

I’ve been to Filoli many times before, but during this visit the fall colors were spectacular. There were burnt color maples, weeping yellow trees, and gorgeous orange vines. During this photoshoot, Filoli was setting up for their holiday lights event so there were twinkling lights as the sun went down. If you haven’t been to Filoli in a while, I totally recommend checking it out any time of year, it seriously looks different every time I visit.
