There is something about photographing first time parents that I love more than anything else in the whole world. Probably because I get to witness brand new love unfold before my eyes. As cliche as it sounds, falling in love with your first child is a love like nothing else. It's part lighthearted love like high school love, the kind where you swoon over everything your crush does. Even when he drools or farts, it's still the CUTEST THING EVER. At the same time, this love is so intensely deep and fills all the empty spaces you never realized you had. You wouldn't even think twice about sacrificing it all for this tiny person that you've only known for two weeks. Newborn love is pure magic. I am so honored that Farmta and Roy invited me into their gorgeous light filled home to capture exactly what this brand new love looks like. I got to watch Farmta be such a good Mama to her brand new baby--just look at the way she tenderly looks at her baby boy. And I enjoyed the sweet piano melodies that Roy provided during the shoot (a little bit of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, a little bit of Star Wars.) These parents were so connected to baby, its easy to see that Aiden will be loved to the fullest. Little man, you have been a long time coming, but you are here at exactly the right time.
