Doris asked me to do a Howl’s Moving Castle cosplay photoshoot and told me she even dyed her hair a silvery blonde for it! At first I wasn’t quite sure if I was the right person for the job (I usually photograph babies and families these days) but Doris trusted me anyway, like she did 10 years ago when I asked her climb a tree for a photoshoot, and I’m so glad we she did!

One of the prettiest and most expressive babies I’ve photographed (just look at those cute lips!) she is sure to melt the heart of everyone that meets her.

Baby L did the BIGGEST stretch during our at home newborn photo session and I about died from all the cuteness. Instant serotonin. I loved photographing this handsome tiny fellow with his sweet family. Just a week old Baby was so perfectly relaxed and got a great nap in while big brother played all around him. It was big brother’s idea to line up the cars in a heart shape around baby and it turned out so amazing!

My favorite thing about spring is the bloom of pink cherry blossom trees all over the Bay Area. But however beautiful these pastel trees are, the bloom is so short lived. Their beauty, just like everything in life is not forever, but then again isn’t that the beauty of it? Cherry blossoms are our reminder to appreciate the good while it’s here.
